Hi, I'm Kandice. Nice to meet you.
I am a creatively driven author always seeking to blend my passion for writing and the arts with my love for and study of nature. My master’s degree in the environmental sciences brings a unique perspective and sense of wonder to my work. An environmental scientist by day and author by night, I consider my novel, Love & Defiance, to be one of my greatest accomplishments. I happily reside with my wonderful husband, Paul, and two dogs, Chester and Snuffy, in Georgetown, Texas.
Author Goals
Complete my first novel draft: My primary goal is to finish writing the first draft of my novel. I'm dedicated to pouring my heart and soul into this story, bringing my characters to life, and crafting a compelling narrative.
Revise and polish my manuscript: Once the first draft is complete, I will embark on the revision process. I'm committed to honing my storytelling skills, refining the plot and character development, and ensuring that every word contributes to the overall impact of the story.
Seek feedback from beta readers: Feedback is invaluable to the writing process. I plan to engage with a group of beta readers who will provide constructive criticism and insights on my manuscript. Their input will help me identify areas for improvement and make necessary revisions.
Self-publish: After I complete my novel's draft, I'll self-publish on Amazon through Kindle Direct Publishing, striving to reach a wide audience and establish myself as an author. Future sequels are already in the works, fueling my passion for storytelling.
Write more books: As an aspiring author, I understand the importance of continuous growth and learning. The best way to do that is to write, write, write. I have two sequels planned for Love & Defiance, and I cannot wait to get started.
